880-gas-pipe-saw
880 gas pipe saw

A 2 piece cylinder, Chinese g880. I built the pipe from stainless steel, machined the head, and did the porting. Stock piston, carb, crank, etc. All work was confined to the cylinder and head. It is a very beginner friendly saw with a working choke, decomp, and easy starting. Stock bore and stroke. (I have replaced the pullstart rope and cold start handle, it was on a different saw at the time I took pictures and this video comparison.)

This saw took 11th at sawfest being ran by Brennan cass, and is almost 15% as fast as my current 3120 clone that made over 20 horsepower at Dyno Joe's. The comparison was made on my hotsaw race chain in 8x8 tulip poplar (video of that included in this ad) running a 12 pin rim. It makes plenty of torque and handles pushing quite well, not prone to bogging in my experience. It has always ran on 20:1 klotz original techniplate or amsoil dominator in 87 octane pump gas.

Price is for the power head only. For an additional $250 I will include the roller nose bar and a fresh square ground 72dl race chain. There is no warranty expressed or implied as this saw is for racing purposes, although I, as the builder, am under the impression it has a great deal of life left, especially if taken care of, tuned appropriately, and ran on fresh 20:1 gas.

Please direct any questions to appalachiansaw@gmail.com

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0797/2130/0227/files/rn-image_picker_lib_temp_da0897e1-15fc-470c-8631-81f684c16aad.jpg?v=1777834587
